[University Park, Los Angeles]  On June 15, 2019 the Dockweiler Post Station was changed to the Marvin Gaye Station (90007) in honor of his presence in Los Angeles and his world-acclaimed musical achievements.   The signage reflecting the name change has recently been completed.  The station is located on Vermont Avenue on 36th Street.

Even though his permanent home was in the Hollywood community, his family home was located approximately 3 miles from the station in the West Adams community on Grammercy Blvd. just north of the Santa Monica freeway.
