The mural in the cover photo was completed in 2022 by BMike Odums and Whitney Alix and depicts young Emmit Till and his mother Mamie Mobley. 

The Bee Hive is a creative space located in South Los Angeles at 60th Street between Central Avenue & Avalon Street. It is used for a variety of purposes as these shots were in prep of the Hotwater Cornbread Festival slated for Sunday, October 8, 2023.he
