Lucas Museum of Narrative Art – Aerial view

This is a drone shot of the newly opened narrative museum in Expo Park [Los Angeles]. The shot was timed to capture sunset as you see lighting from various businesses. I used my DJI Mavic Air2S.

Aerial view of the Los Angeles skyline at dusk, featuring modern architecture and city lights. In the foreground, unique buildings and greenery, with distant mountains in the background.

Being a AAA member, I received the Aug/Sep/Oct edition of Westways magazine. This was the cover photo which featured an amazing perspective. I had shot the venue several times for construction progress reports. Once I saw it I was motivated to try and replicate it. However, even though Los Angeles is basically a desert there were environmental concerns if I was to capture the mountains and backgrounds as seen in the photo. After patiently waiting for nearly a month, a heat wave came through the city providing the opportunity to shot. Hats off to Evan Bracken who captured the shot.
