My initial journey
After many years of “wanting” to go to Cuba, I finally decided to make the trip. It was right after Thanksgiving and my sole purpose was merely to explore the country. I originally had plans to go to Trinidad but did a swap as my casa host was insistent that my driver, Manuel instead take me to Pinar de Rio and see the Vinales valley.
Despite the embargo from years ago, from Los Angeles there are many airlines that go in and out of CUBA. I found an affordable journey from LAX to Mexico City to Cancun to CUBA. My travel visit was $25 which was obtained in Cancun.
