Tacoma, Baltimore, District of Columbia & New York
These are some sights and scenes from our annual Eastcoast Trek, commemorating the legacy of the March on Washington. This year from Los Angeles we were “all aboard” on the Amtrak Pacific Surfliner to Tacoma, WA. From there we fly to BWI and after a day of doing the foodie thing he took us to the District of Columbia. After a couple of days we jumped back on Amtrak and landed in New York.

You don’t have to be a track and field fan or even a historian to appreciate the great work artist Glenn Kaino produced. It is spectacular and hopefully motivates you to read up on Tommie Smith and what inspired him to make his bold statement during the 1968 Men’s 200m finals. For those wishing to go the extra mile please see the documentary “With Drawn Arms.”
